Te Kete Ako is a Māori-owned educational website created to provide authentic, culturally grounded resources for tamariki, kaiako, and whānau. This kaupapa began when I struggled to find Māori-created, meaningful learning materials that truly reflected te ao Māori. Too often, resources were either tokenistic or not designed by us, for us. So I started Te Kete Ako — a space where Māori voices, knowledge, and identity lead the way. Here you’ll find downloadable worksheets, literacy and numeracy supports, and kaupapa Māori activities that weave te reo Māori, tikanga, and mātauranga Māori into everyday learning. Whether you're in the classroom, at home, or supporting kura kaupapa, our resources are made to uplift Māori achievement and empower whānau through education.
